TIP: You may now be able to print your W-2 and W-3 forms on plain paper.
To use this feature you must have a valid subscription to the QuickBooks® Do-It-Yourself PayrollTM service and the 2003 version of QuickBooks® Financial Software. For the actual printing, use paper stock that is at least 18-pounds and that is either white or cream colored. You should also use black ink.
When printing the W-2 form on plain paper, the software program first prints instructions on processing the various copies. The program prints additional pages to include three W-2 forms together for the employee's federal, state, and local purposes; a sheet for the employee's records, with additional instructions; and more copies of the forms for the employer and any remaining state or local purposes, if needed. Records for each employee will print in this format.
Once the W-2 forms have printed correctly, you can then print the W-3 form in similar fashion.
